It is about time that the whiteboard evolved and made creative processes easier! Google has done just this by reimagining how we collaborate with Jamboard. Revealed last October, Jamboard is a 55-inch whiteboard featuring a 4K touchscreen display, HD camera, speakers and handwriting recognition and more.
Jamboard enhances collaborative meetings using Google’s full suite of cloud applications and services. Multiple users can dial-in to a Jamboard session and use applications like Docs, Slides, and Sheets to collaborate with others. With the support of sticky notes, handwriting and shape recognition, Jamboard allows users to engage in the meeting in various ways and facilitates the brainstorming process.
With the automatic save feature of Google Drive, users can pick up where they left off at any time and from anywhere. With Jamboard, collaborating doesn’t have to end when you walk out of the meeting room, and you can contribute either via another Jamboard, smartphone or tablet.
Jamboard’s intelligent 55-inch 4k touchscreen display features an incredible touch response time for a more natural feel and precise drawings. It can also recognize that you are erasing when you use your finger to “wipe work off” just like a regular whiteboard. With its one cable setup, Jamboard is easy to assemble and move around from room to room.
“We want to help teams get back to the heart of what they love to do: create new ideas. That’s why we’ve worked closely with G Suite customers like Instrument, Netflix, and Spotify to refine the blend of hardware and software that drives Jamboard,” said TJ Varghese, G Suite Product Manager.
