Promevo has always been proud of our work in the field of Education technology.  One of the most rewarding parts of the experience is learning about the amazing and innovative things that schools are doing with that technology.  Google created G Suite for Education in order to empower educators and students.  They wanted to schools to have the tools to take new steps.  We were lucky to have the opportunity to sit down with one of our customers who is helping pioneer this kind of innovation.


Troy Sigvaldason is the IT Supervisor for Prairie Spirit School Division.  Located in the province of Manitoba, Canada, Prairie Spirit includes twenty-four schools across seventy-one miles of land.  In order to enable teachers to reach students across this vast division, Troy and his team helped to implement a distance education program.

Distance education is a method of teaching students through interactive participation and open access of network technologies.  Simply put, Prairie Spirit utilizes video conferencing solutions, so that teachers can teach in multiple buildings at the same time.

pssd_logoHowever, Prairie Spirit’s previous video conferencing systems were not up to the task.  These systems were expensive and difficult to maintain.  With a small IT staff and a large district, Troy needed a solution that would be reliable, affordable, and easy to support
