Conference season carries on and Promevo is there.
Recently, Promevo was privileged to attend two education summits. The MOREnet Summit took place in the “Show Me” state of Missouri, and was held at Columbia’s Fr. Tolton High School on March 8. This one day event was packed with programs for School IT personnel, administrators, and teachers on subjects such as basic Google Docs practices, employing scripts, and effective security policies for deployment.
Promevo’s Christie Zimmerman attended the event. Christie was fortunate enough to meet some of the fine people Promevo has been lucky enough to work with, as well as demonstrate the advantages of using Promevo’s services and software, such as gPanel and gScholar. The day ended on a flourish when a Chromebook was given out to a fortunate attendee.
The second conference Promevo participated in was the NY/NJ Google in Education Summit at Kean University in Union, NJ. The two-day event took place on March 13 and 14. Promevo was represented by Christie Zimmerman and Chris Powers.
The summit was brimming with helpful and informative sessions. Some of the most popular dealt with best practices of Google Apps, how to use Google Sites, and how to use Chromebooks for formative assessments. Also among the in demand sessions was Chris Power’s presentation on the value and benefits of gScholar. This demonstration proved so popular, a standing-room-only crowd, that Chris was asked to do a second session on Friday to accommodate all the interested educators.
In addition to the gScholar presentation, Promevo helped out with other demonstrations such as providing the Chromebooks for the Chromebook Room. In doing so, conference participants were able to get hands-on experience with all the latest Chromebook models. To round out the summit, Promevo awarded one lucky summit attendee a Chromebook.
As with all conferences, possibly the greatest benefit is getting to meet the educators, administrators, and IT professionals that Promevo has been blessed to serve. The ability to build relationships, get direct feedback on how to improve what we at Promevo do, as well as demonstrate what we do well is invaluable and we thank you.
