gPanel customers have asked and we answered. Our developers have been hard at work and added Mobile Device Management to gPanel. It can be found on the Domain Management features side and under the Tools module.
Our Mobile Management will display the user name and email address, device name and type, the operating system of device, date of the last sync performed, and the current status of device.
This is what Mobile Management will offer you (in case you can’t make it out on the screenshot): It will allow administrators to take an action on any device managed under the domain. Admins will have 4 different actions to choose from. You can approve, block, delete, or remote wipe devices.
Of course, we couldn’t just stop there so we took Mobile Device Management to the next level. Admins have the option to create granular role permissions so that there is a specific role to only operate mobile device management and not any other feature. And just like any other feature in gPanel we are not done with the upgrade of this feature. We are currently working on adding in policies to auto block any mobile device when a user account is suspended.
Also, we are always looking to improve our tool so if you want Mobile Device Management to provide some other function, just ask .. after all, that is why we added Mobile Device Management in the first place (customer requests). So what are you waiting for, snap in gPanel today!
